“CURE proudly supports the local economies in the countries we serve. These fine olive wood products are sourced from a third generation family-run business in Bethlehem. The olive wood tree is a very slow growing tree, and must be over 150 years before it is pruned. The tree is never damaged. Pruning is very important every year so new branches grow. From these branches, the olive wood products are made,” said Paul Goldsmith, Vice President of Marketing, CURE International.

Founded in 1996 by an orthopedic surgeon, CURE International has helped millions of children suffering from disease and disabilities in over 30 countries. The first hospital was established in Kenya and was dedicated to the treatment of children with physical disabilities.

Kids who might never have received treatments for illnesses like spina bifida, brain tumors, and clubfoot now have hope. In 2012, CURE passed 2,000,000 total patient visits. That’s 2,000,000 plus children who have a new lease on life and a brilliant future, thanks to CURE.
