4 Rock House Farm New York Strip Steaks (cut 1in. thick each)

2 tbsp canola oil

Dale’s Steak Seasoning, as desired


Finishing salt

Banner Butter disks: Smoked Sea Salt or Roasted Garlic & Basil


  • Heavily season one side of each steak. Let rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  • Place 2 tbsp of canola oil in a large 12” skillet and heat on medium-high heat.
  • Once oil is hot, place 2 steaks, seasoned side down, into the oil. Let cook, untouched for 3-4 minutes for a medium rare steak. (Add an additional minute for medium steak.)
  • Turn steak over and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes. (Add an additional minute for medium steak.)
  • Remove steaks from skillet and repeat procedure with the other 2 steaks.
  • Place steaks on cutting board and top each with your choice of finishing salt and/or herbed butter disks.
  • Let steaks rest 2-3 minutes before slicing.
