Ingredients:
4 lb chuck roast
2 onions quartered
4 Celery stalks, cut into thirds
6 to 8 Carrots, peeled and cut into 2-inch pieces
4 large potatoes, peeled and cut into quarters
Seasoning salt
Garlic powder
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 300oF.
- Place roast in a 15 x 10-inch (4 quart) baking dish.
- Surround roast with onions, celery, carrots, and potatoes.
- Generously season roast and vegetables with seasoning salt and garlic powder.
- Fill bottom of the baking dish with water, 1/4 inch deep.
- Tightly cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 4 hours. The roast is ready when it’s fall apart tender.
