Plain Peanuts makes a variety of peanut candies, including six different flavors of peanut and pecan brittles, and fried and sugar-coated peanuts. Founded in 1988 by Bobby and Jean Salter, the business was originally housed in Billy Carter’s service station, and today is in the old Carter’s warehouse located on Main Street in downtown Plains, GA, the birthplace of Jimmy Carter.
The Georgia Peanut Commission exists to serve Georgia peanut producers in the areas of research, promotion, and education. The commission was established in 1961 under the Commodities Promotion Act. All peanuts sold by the commission are Georgia Grown and distributed out of Tifton, GA.

Founded in 2010, David Goodson and wife Melody began selling shelled pecan halves and pieces, as well as a few gourmet flavors online and at festivals. Krackers got its start after retired Army Black Hawk helicopter pilot, Terry, stumbled upon the best tasting cracker in a quaint little Italian restaurant in Alabama. After enlisting the help of his daughter, Savannah, a marketing major in college, Krackers began marrying the idea of crackers with delectable, unique flavoring, using only healthy, hearty canola oil.
Southern Straws is a mother-and-son bakery dedicated to making good, old-fashioned cheese straws with a unique spin on a classic Southern staple. In her early 20s, Margaret Amos wanted to bake something special to give her friends at Christmas. While browsing through an old family cookbook, she discovered a recipe for delectable cheddar cheese straws, donned an apron, and started pressing them out.
