Pear and Gouda Grilled Cheese

8 slices Luna Sourdough bread

2 cups Rock House Creamery Nanny Moon’s Gouda, shredded

2 whole red pears, thinly sliced

2 cups baby arugula

Butter, to taste


  • Heat a medium-sized skillet over medium heat.
  • Spread butter onto one slice of bread, then place in pan, butter side down.
  • On that slice of bread, spread 1/4 cup cheese, then place 4 slices of pear, then 1/2 cup arugula, followed by 1/4 cup cheese. Top with another piece of bread and butter the top.
  • Flip when ready. Cook sandwiches until golden on both sides. Cheese should be melted, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  • Repeat procedure 3 more times to make a total of 4 sandwiches.
