Shannon McLinden, CEO of Farmhouse Fresh (FHF), has been selling her natural skincare products in stores and spas around the world for more than 17 years. With every success and every setback, one mission has always been central to her business—giving back.
For Farmhouse Fresh, giving back takes on two meanings. For one, proceeds from every purchase go to help rescue abused or neglected farm animals.

Some of these animals end up being cared for by Farmhouse Fresh employees—so sweet! At the animal sanctuary, they have sheep, goats, donkeys, and a few horses. And once you’ve purchased a product, you’ll receive tracking information to see which animal you are helping rescue so you can follow their journey.
Secondly, McLinden shares the second part of giving back comes in the form of improving customers’ complexions. The farm and namesake for Farmhouse Fresh is headquartered in McKinney, Texas and home to the botanical extracts that are grown and used in all the FHF products. Microgreens—their specialty—are grown through hydroponics and aquaponics and are harvested immediately to ensure optimal potency. Each microgreen serves a specific purpose in renewing skin and thus is used strategically in all FHF products.
Pursuing Three Passions
Grow fresh daily — This promise refers to the microgreens that are grown naturally on the farm. The FHF team harvests these plants at their peaks, to ensure high nutrition extracts are used in crafting the skincare products. In doing so, results you experience are rapid due to the nutrient density of these amazing botanicals. Here are some you’ll see listed in the ingredient lists: Amaranth, cucumbers, dwarf gray sugar peas, kale, lemon balm, red leaf lettuce, spearmint, and watercress.
