The founders of Buzzee Sustainable Home Goods were shocked when they first learned that nearly one third of all food made for human consumption went to waste. So, they began saving it- filling their fridges with leftover sandwiches, the unused halves of vegetables, and more, only to realize that they were using so much plastic. Everytime they turned around, another plastic bag, piece of plastic tupperware, or shopping bag was used and then promptly thrown away.
They found themselves thinking, there had to bee another way... and there was!
"There has to bee another way."
Thinking back to her father, who wove cotton in India over 40 years ago, and to her mother, who used fabric to cover jars and bag up produce, they realized – they could do this again, just with beeswax.
If you add beeswax to organic cotton, you can use it as an all-natural alternative to plastic wrap that can be used up to 200 times.
Buzzee’s beautiful designs are designed by their young, artistic daughter, then replicated onto fabric. These designs are available both in-store and online at Farmview Market. Grab one on your next visit!
