To make this fun, fall treat you will need 2 pounds of chopped pecans, three ounces of bourbon, four ounces of water, and 16 ounces of sugar. To start, combine all of the ingredients in a large mixing bowl, and toss until the ingredients are well combined.
After the ingredients are tossed and evenly coated, place on a cookie sheet tray. Roast the pecans at 450 degrees for 5-7 minutes. Remove the pecans from the oven and let them cool. If you are pressed for time, place the pecans in the refrigerator to speed the cooling process. This great recipe yields a generous amount of candied pecans, and makes a great snack for your group!
